PSU causing flickering lights

So after moving into this new place I notice that when I am running my 3D Printer the lights on the same circuit flicker. Is there any way to easily condition the power or provide some layer of separation to deal with this?

if you use klipper then you can set PWM frequency setting for bed heater to match 50 or 60 HZ mains.

“pwm_cycle_time”

Awesome thank you! I will give this a try.

Np. I am not sure this will help with DC heater though. Usually PWM cycle is used to fix the AC heater induced flicker.

My bed is off the AC main power but the hotend is obv still 24v PWM

I had this problem with a Corsair CX650 that was on the same circuit as lights

Swapping the PSU helped, but in the end I just ran a new lighting circuit which of course fixed it, and got a double conversion UPS which completely decoupled the power from PSU’s and the circuit

Oh ok then it might help.

[heater_bed]
pwm_cycle_time: 0.01666

You get this number by dividing either 1 by 50 or 1/60 depending on your AC.

I am not sure this can be done on Marlin.

Yeah, I am trying to avoid doing that. Spending that kind of money on just stopping my lights from flickering wouldn’t be ideal.

I am running klipper on a Pi
