Proxmox VE 6.3 now supports systems up to 8192 cores

Hey looks like @wendell’s feature request made it in. :+1:t2:

In a discussion about upgrading, I learned that you shouldn’t do apt upgrade which can break things, but instead use
apt dist-upgrade or apt full-upgrade which is what the GUI apparently uses. This was new to me, so I just thought I’d pass that along.

I understand that with this release Proxmox Backup is now integrated stably! I’m really looking forward to getting this in the lab and trying it out more. Anyone out there used the beta/previous versions of the Proxmox Backup? thoughts on how much this really impacts or means to current prod environments?

Not remotely on topic

Huh, the man page for apt does not list dist-upgrade, only the simple upgrade (which it just says is a wrapper for apt-get upgrade) (on my norm’buntu system)
The page for apt-get does list it, and it Does Work with just apt, but for some reason they did not include the comment on it.
It’s a bit odd is

(and thanks for the heads up; I’ve updated my apt update and apt upgrade alias)
