My other issue is ram is training on every boot, There is an led near to the gpu that flashes green i have recorded some video of my problem with shots of the bios Specs are

Corsair Elite capellix h170i lcd aio

Can anyone help i will upload video to YouTube and post a link if that helps Thanks in Advance

Very close to my set up save I have a 5975wx.

Three things come to mind. 1) Try turning off Secure boot. That sometimes restricts BIOS settings. 2) Reset the CMOS and clear your settings. See if the grayed out boot options clear up. 3) If they do, update the BIOS to latest.

Could also be a firmware bug. Rare, but happens. Also, is BIOS set to Legacy only or UEFI Only?

Video showing the issues one other thing i forgot to mention when the Blue ray drive does show up and i try to install windows from a genuine windows disc it comes up with a whea blue screen and wont install. I have also tried f5 key to set bios to optimized settings that hasnt helped either

Hi

The green blinking light on the motherboard is ok. That means that the BMC/IPMI has been started up and is running.

I have the 1st revision of the Asus WRX80 SAGE motherboard and it’s normal for the bootup process to take longer than on other boards.

If I’m not wrong the problem regarding the RAM could be that these kinds of RAM might need higher than 1.2 V for 3200mhz (sometimes these RAM will need 1.3 V or more for XMP). Maybe lowering the transfer rate to lower than 3200Mhz helps.

Regarding the missing boot entry: Did you actually install Windows somewhere while in UEFI mode? I think it will only show up if you have installed windows while also being in UEFI mode (sorry I haven’t installed Windows in a long time).

I cant install windows due to boot options being greyed out as in my video gysi

Inserting a bootable usb stick also doesn’t work or isn’t also selectable when you press F8 during boot?
But the blueray drive shows up?

No bootable usb also doesnt work i cant set it as boot drive due to boot options being greyed out and no drives showing in boot secure boot as you see in the video

On the BIOS your date is set to 05/23/2022 which is before the build date of your Mobo. I’ve seen some issues (albeit on servers already installed) where software has problems if the time is off. I doubt that’s the main issue, but could be compounding things.

What format is your USB Key? You can use the official creation tool for Win10 here:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10/

USB windows flash drive is an official one from Microsoft so formatted correctly

Sorry no clue what the issue might be. I guess you should contact the manufacturer.

Do you see any errors in the BMC event log? What version is the BMC firmware? Did you try to disable windows UEFI mode and choose “other OS”?
You could maybe try to install the OS via BMC webinterface.

I might be wrong about this but… Have you tried with another cmos battery? These symptoms scream of that old school problem - especially the wrong date and time. This is something super cheap to test and chances are you have a new battery at home.

ive had this same thing happen when the USB drive was failing. have you tried a different usb drive?

also what bios version is it?

Bios is 1006

New motherboard just purchased from Scan uk
