@kreestuh @wendell Firefly died for multiple reasons:

  1. Fox executives completely hugged the living hug out of the huggin episode order. The pilot was not shown first… they decided the second episode would be shown first so no backstory until week 2. Other episodes were out of order as the season went on. Whedon had communicated it needed to be in a specific order.

  2. The huggin executives also didn’t like the marriage of Zoe and Wash and tried to have that shitcanned in production… Whedon stuck to his guns and won but it certainly could have been why Fox dicked things up in point 1.

  3. Friday night… yeah, Friday night timeslots don’t usually too well with a new show that is jumbled up.
