Is it still possible to jailbreak a 1st gen ipod touch? No longer have much of a use for it and would like to try it out.
Yes it is possible. I was jailbreaking those the hard way back when jailbreaking was still pretty new and all the fancy gui tools didn't even exist yet.
I'm pretty sure the latest firmware 1st gen can get is 4.3.3 but don't hold me against it but if it is the go to jailbreakme.com in safari and it will jailbreak.
Is it a difficult process or pretty self-explanatory nowadays? And what are the major improvements made? I haven't kept up to date with it in years

The 2nd gen's last firmware was 4.2.1, so the 1st gen is a tad earlier. Looking it up, it's last was 3.1.3
