I heard the rx470 performs poorly in AC:3 compared to NV gtx750ti / gtx960, i don't know if its really the case or not.
Both NV cards get around 60 fps, while the rx470 gets 20-30 fps and sometimes 40-50 fps, huh?
I would like to ask someone who has an rx470 video card to test it in Assasin's Creed 3 and share the results here with us.
Seems a lot of info is flying around where people don't specify the resolution. I'd heavily question what you see until you know what resolution they're at. 60fps @1080p could very well be 30 @1440p.
It should be with the same resolution. 1080p i think.
Are you sure it's because of the GPU and not the CPU? Ubisoft games are terribly CPU dependent and AC3 is one of the worst optimized AC games in this regard. The game simply refuses to run well on anything below an i5. Perhaps those people who have low fps are also running a slower AMD CPU.
The CPU is the same, the guy just switched his GPU to rx470 afaik.
Whilst not an RX 470, my RX 480 is running it fine maxed out @1080p, but i also have my fps capped @60. No fps drops either.
It's probably a driver issue. It doesn't seem likely that the 470 is the only card that would have such an issue with Assassin's Creed 3. I always uninstall drivers completely before changing to a new GPU, even if it's from the same company.
