<incompatibility with monitor resolved with vbios update, haven’t seen this in ages>
updating to include more details. in working with PNY support, they didn’t want to send me the vbios for whatever reason and wanted me to RMA the card. the original card came back (same serial) and the tech informed me the only work done was updating the vbios.
original vbios: 98.02.52.00.02
working (new) vbios after RMA: 98.02.81.00.07
