We musicians need it for Universal Audio Apollo gear. Because Mac Pro is too expensive. Because Catalina is horrible. We are running and need help.
More importantly, test latency with the TB3 AIC. That’s more important for DAW work.
Initial impressions of the 3900X for DAW work unfortunately aren’t impressive.
Ultimately, a 9900K Mojave Hackintosh might be better latency-wise. 10900K Hackintosh support is looking bleak as Macs are about to move entirely to ARM.
