"pixelated/slightly blurry video" on a brand new monitor?

ive seen streams be like this, youtube vids, pictures, and if my background is the default windows 7 blue screen you can tell it pretty easily

And are your connections tight both on your gpu and monitor?

Big_Al, if Loads is able to snip good looking/not blurry images, and they look fine on other devices, could it possibly be their monitor? Like, more than just the settings?

I don't think this could be the result of a faulty cable...

yeah ive tested those a coupletimes. i noticed on my gpu the slot i put my dvi cable into was grey in color, and the other dvi port was reddish, but opted out of the red one(first available one), because my dvi screw tightening would not go into it due to what im guessing is a burr inside the socket

Yea true, this is really puzzling me a bit. The main reason for the screen shot was to sorta see if it could be the monitor.

Loads, could you click the following:
Start > Right Click "Computer" > Properties and snip the window that pops up?

Are you using the most recent omega driver for catalyst?

Do you have another, screen to test your pc on?

He should be, I believe he installed it.

the rating was due to my hard drive, i looked into it and it said it wouldnt get much higher without an ssd

and yes, i have the most recent one, downloaded it earlier

i do not, my other screen was on a macbook pro

Some times, people(me) do accidentally grab the wrong one, though I can't imagine that being the cause here.

yea a score of 5.9 is standard to anyone with a 7200rpm c drive

can you tell with this picture?

looks fine on my end.

WEI doesn't really matter.

The image looks fine on my end. I haven't gotten that monitor yet, so I can't suggest there. You're using the right port, you've said.

Try right clicking, changing your resolution, then putting it back to 1920*1080?

hmm, idk then. i downloaded the adobe flash player that adobe recommended for me, but when i search for it in my pc, it comes up as 32bit, could that be a concern or was there a 64bit part of it that i missed

it is on 1920x1080

Flash player isn't going to effect your main desktop.

Some applications only have a 32 bit version. Usually because they just don't benefit from the added system memory.

As long as the drivers were for 64 bit when applicable, you should be fine.

I'd have to hazard a manufacturers defect in this case. Big_Al took you through just about every other option.

This blurriness applies to everything? Or just streams and media?
