Pi NES

I have been looking at the raspberry pi for a emulation system with retro pi, would it be a good idea? And my plan is to use and old NES case and gut it and put the pi in it. So has anyone else done this or has used retro pi. Also does it matter if I use the model a or b?

Thats sounds like a simple mod. Im guessing you would install linux and run a emulator and use a flash drive to hold they games. Actually sounds like something I could see myself doing.

well Retro Pi is a linux distro that allows you to play emulators from many old systems. But it allows you to download 100's of old games. I've seen quite a few videos of people doing it (about 2-3 vids).

i see what you did there.

what did I do?

Pi NES

And....looks like I'm putting together an RetroPie...

That's a neat little project. I might just have to buy another Pi for it.

I would use B considering the minimal price difference. The RCA out would give it that "retro" look so i would see this as being a better option over an average PC.
