Pfsense with vmware workstation

Hi i have an question regarding vmware workstation with pfsense.

I installed pfsense on vmware workstation. I attahced additional NIC’s with my machine to connect different WAN interface. Now i want to connect my main office router through one of the NIC Card for LAN so that traffic will pass through pfsense and after that goes to the router.

Kindly tell me is it possible or not. If it’s possible kindly guide me regarding this problem.

Theoretically, yes, this is possible. I have never done with VMware workstation so your mileage may vary. In essence you are going to build something that looks like this;

The key thing to remember is that with Virtual Networks and Virtual Switches this could all be inside your machine e.g. the NIC’s and switch are just virtual devices - although in your case you probably want NIC1 as physical and passed to the VM rather than NAT’ed against a single NIC on the host.
