PC Build Help (my first time building a PC)

Hey guys, let me just start of by saying this is my first post on the forum and hopefully you can help me out. So My birthday was coming up and I started researching how to build a computer just for fun and I also wanted know wether it was hard to build a computer and also to take my knowledge of computers that little bit further. I just need some advice on the build that I have in mind, I live in australia so keep in mind that I can't go to new egg or anything like that and also that i don't really wanna spend more then $750 even though its a birthday present because last year i got a mac for school (boy was that pricey)

anyways enough of my talking (you don't even have to read that) I had a few questions about this build. This is meant to be a 90% gaming PC maybe...MAYBE 10% rendering/editing

MotherBoard: ASrock B75M R2 (about $75 with shipping) - http://www.mwave.com.au/product/asrock-b75m-r20-motherboard-aa34572#detailTabs=tabSpecifications

CPU: Intel Core i3 3220 (maybe $145-$150 with shipping NOTE-went with the i3 3220 instead of the amd fx-6300 because I can later on upgrade the i3 into and i5/i7) - http://www.diycomputers.com.au/check.asp?ProdId=11553

GPU: AMD radeon HD 7850 2GB GDDR5(about $185 with shipping) - http://www.jw.com.au/vtx3d-amd-radeon-hd7850-2gb-gddr5-gaming-graphic-card-p-53732

RAM: 8GB of super sexy DDR3 1600mhz Ram (corsair vengeance, $115, had an extra $40 to spend so I'm also getting arctic ram coolers for $20. The ram that I was originally gonna get was $90) - http://www.computeralliance.com.au/search?search=DDR3%208GB%20(2x4G)%20Corsair%201600MHz%20Vengeance%20CL9%20RAM%20Kit%20PN%20CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9

Ram cooler: Arctic thermodynamic ram cooler (twin pack, $20.)

HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB (about $75-$80 with shipping also don't wanna run out of space and from what I understand WD blue is the norm) - http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=21231

PSU: Antec EarthWatts 650w (about $90, Should be fine, its like $3 more expensive then a corsair CX500 so I thought I should go with this) - http://www.allneeds.com.au/prod969.htm

Case: Xigmatek Asgard 381($50) - http://shop.phasercomputers.com.au/products/xigmatekasgard381blkmtcase

Don't need an Optical Drive (Moniter/TV has built in dvd drive and xb1 has blu-ray so I'm set with that)

Total = $710, just what i wanted to spend

I have a question about this build

Will the MotherBoard (along with everything else) be able to fit in the case. The website says the motherboard support is ATX but the motherboard's form factor is mini ATX does this matter?

Thanks for reading this and I hope you can answer my question that would be great!

The only thing i would change in the build is the power supply you should realy have a 80+ psu

so like 600W? is the psu bad quality?

The 80+ rating is an efficiency rating and is completely different from the wattage. Having a more efficient PSU saves you a bit of money but mostly they deliver nice, clean, and stable power to your components which helps them live a long and prosperous life :P

how would I find the efficiency rating is this one good enough?http://shop.phasercomputers.com.au/collections/power-supply/products/600wgigabytepowerockax600atxpowersupplyblackcolour750wpeakpower2x62pinpcie5xsata2yearwarrantynopowercords

more power wouldn't hurt though right

thanks :)

A decent 500w power supply will run this system just fine.

As stated above, most 80+ Bronze power supplies should be ok.  I like Corsair, XFX, and Seasonic PSUs.  Almost any PSU from one of those brands should be high quality!

Found a 750W 80+ platinum for like $130 is that a good price or should I just go with a gigabyte powerock AX600?

That's alright.  It's absolutely overkill though, and I would suggest you get a lower wattage PSU and use that money towards something else like a better CPU(i5, I'm looking at you)

XFX 550w, Corsair CX500, should be just fine.

what sorta i5 are you thinking of? thanks for the help, i think il go with a XFX 550W and spend maybe like and extra $30-$40 on the cpu?

Any Ivy-Bridge should work.

I'm not sure about availability, but the i5-3470 or 3570 should be just fine.

After looking around I think I'm just gonna get a antec earth watts 650w for like $5 more than the corsair cx500 and the same price as a xfx 550w, the antec is like $95. And then upgrade to the i5 later. Thanks for all your help guys very pleased with the current build that I have in mind and also what I learnt! :)
