Overclocking monitors on linux

I just got a QX2710 and I am currently using Antergos linux I have overclocked it to 99 Hz but Gnome won't launch with the new options it does work in LXDE though.

Go into your terminal and try the following.
xrandr -r 99

Ah.

Gnome is terrible for overclocking monitors. Their DE is almost constantly changing in some sort of drastic way.

It used to be where you could edit GDM to save your xrandr settings, but now it is something completely different. IDK how to even do it with the latest gnome lol.

Wait... You don't just.... embed your monitor hacks?

Well I feel alone ;-;

I tried that and it gives me this error

Rate 99 Hz not available for this size

I tried 99.30 but it gives me the same error. Another thing I've found is that gnome settings says could not get any screen information.
