Overclocking Memory (2400MHz)

I've recently seen a kit of memory (Team Vulcan 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200)) for pretty cheap. $64.99 cheap, in fact. I'm going to be building a rig soon, and seeing this great deal, I've considered going with an AMD APU (probably the A10-5800k). However, I'm not quite sure if some motherboards will be able to overclock this high or not. I don't want to spend too much on a motherboard, and I'm sure if motherboards that advertise: [Memory Standard: DDR3 1600/1333/1066] will be able to allow memory to be overclocked to 2400 MHz.

If anyone has anything that may help, it would be much appreciated. :)

If your going to overclock then its best to invest in a half decent board. A board like this http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-fm2a75mpro4 will get the job done. WIll push the 5800k to a good speed as well.

Team vulcan are a small company but should be fine.

Looks good. When I was searching for motherboards that included memory speeds of 2400, I couldn't find any. Though, $45 motherboards probably won't go past 1866 MHz :/.

Either way, thanks!
