Overclocking issues

Hey I recently overclocked my gpu 7950 vapor x using this method

http://www.overclock.net/t/633816/how-to-overclock-your-amd-ati-gpu

The results I got were dunno if there good clocks but My core clock was 850 and I got a stable clock of 1120mhz My mem was 1120 mhz and i got that to 1495 mhz I did not touch the voltage and ran everything for longer on the settings then I was supposed to.

How ever when I play Boarder lands 2 I get lag really bad lag. unplayable near to max settings, Phizex at low.

My cpu is a stock FX8350 , Asus sabertooth 990fx psu 500 watt superflower 8 gigs of of Patriot viper3 1866mhz ram...

I ran heavan bench mark and my screen went off, I'm not the most expereinced with computers but I think maybe its the voltage as its stock but i dont want to adjust anything untill I've gotten some sound advice.

Thanks for reading

If games don't crash, screw the benchmarking programs.

But boarder lands 2 is un playable at the moment and i cant figure out why?

Definitely increase the voltage at small increments until you find something stable. That core clock seems to be a bit high, 270mhz doesn't seem all that reasonable. Try maybe 1050 and see if its playable, if it is, up it from there if not, well, try less. Trial and error.
