Openwrt on proxmox

I cannot get my openwrt vm on my proxmox to activate the ax200 wifi that has been passed through to the vm from the proxmox host.

iw list is returning nl80211 not found. and even if I enable the radio openwrt states device not found.

This is the guide I used to create the vm:

This is the guide I used to enable iommu on proxom host:

This is the guide I used to install ax200 firmware:

I further installed these packages:
pciutils, iw, iwinfo, kmod-cfg80211, iwlwifi-firmware-ax200, wpad-basic

the command iw list is giving me nl80211 not found.
lspci is showing the ax200 wifi nic

the host is a cwwk n100 4 port computer. its using a intel ax200 wifi card.

I’m at a loss as to what to do next.

Any ideas?

Can’t remember the switches off hand, but would you be able to post the output from lspci, with current kernel driver that the system is using for it?

Like

lspci -S 02:00.0 -knvv

Or whichever it is?

It is showing the device in the lspci, but if it’s using the wrong driver, perhaps there is a way to change that?

I swiched the -S flag to -s

Thanks Trooper_ish, it took me a while to figure out that the firmware was not being loaded. I assumed that iwlwifi-firmware-ax200 would work but it did not.

I had to install kmod-iwlwifi and then download the firmware from kernel.org and then copy the firmware to /lib/firmware.

I downloaded the firmware from:

https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git/plain/iwlwifi-cc-a0-59.ucode

I hope this helps others.
