Online Master of Computer Science?

Hi Wendell, Logan, Pistol, Quain and Community,

I am passionate about technology and I am currently using my skills to help NGOs to do what they do best. Unfortunately that means that I don't have the freedom to move to places with good universities. I am therefore looking for a good/ reputable Master of Computer Science program that is delivered online. Most of my skills are currently self-taught and I used to be hesitant to pay a lot of money for knowledge and information that is largely available online; however, the NGO world is largely driven by UN standards which rely heavily on formal qualifications.

So here my question: Have you heard about a good Master of Computer Science program that is delivered entirely online? Any input would be highly appreciated.

A lot of for-profit colleges (DeVry, Kaplan, U of Phoenix, etc.) offer many programs online. I strongly recommend not going to them though. Quite a few of them don't have accreditation, you will overpay for the education you get, and a bunch of other things.

Other than that, Google would probably be your best bet.

Sorry I'm not of more help.

Do a Bachelors degree first if you haven't already.

Thanks Wiemerimer & A5H.

RE for-profit colleges, those were my thoughts exactly. Did my Bachelors full time at a reputable Uni, but I don't think I can spare the time away from the stuff I am currently doing for work at the moment :(

Accreditation is everything if you want to work for a respectable company (which you should after all that hard work). If you get your degree online and its not accredited that is going to be your #1 barrier every time you apply for a job because plenty of people who have accredited degrees are going to apply as well.
