So I figured I'd give everyone a challenge what's the oldest machine you can load this forum on and post to it. I made this thread on a a 2.10 Athlon 64 x2 machine with 4gb of ram and "Cringes" Windows Vista 64bit machine
Can I be bothered to dig the pentium 133mhz with an ungodly amount of ram (32mb!!!!) out of the attic and try to get it online....
answer = no
God bless, this thing is ancient!!! That even predates the first computer I ever used x-D
TBH I'm shocked the forum page even loaded x-D. Does it look noticeably different from how it typically displays?
That thing even predates me
and me
i remember playing nascar 1993 or what ever it was labeled as back then on a similar machine. had kick ass neighbors who worked for N.A.S.A and had a room full of computers with 3 computers setup for us kids to play games on.
AOpen mobo with some pentium (2001) and an FX5500. Took 10 minutes to load and typing this was... interesting!
You win because your PC that once was beige is now yellow and you gave us a picture of it.
I can serial terminal in to the server directly from my HP100LX palmtop through its 8-pin RS232 port, does that count?
^this (yes it does)
No.
You have to connect through an ISP like the rest of us plebes.
However, you can earn bonus points if you use a dial up modem. ;)
edit: I stand corrected @CrossCarbon . As with most things in life, how you do it doesn't matter as long as one gets the desired result.
YES
Post to the forum, no rules given on how you do it.
wasnt the first pentium the p60?
if its 25mhz then it has to be a 486 right?
brain fried right now, need sleep :D
