I just watched the video “Lunduke Project Update 01” from Feb 2017 and while Wendell was talking about his younger days with BBS’ing he mentioned the Kansas City Library. That made me sit up because I ran a BBS in Kansas City in the old days before the internet killed us off.

I just wonder if Wendell ever logged onto the “Dark of the Moon” BBS in KC back then? That’d really be a kick.

That’s interesting i met with some folks at the KC library in recent years, they seem to have quite a bit of tech, seems like they have always been forward after reading this. Nice to see others from the area! :slight_smile:

I’ve been thinking of hosting a BBS once i get my lab a bit more proper.

Was Dark of the Moon in one of the Fidonet relays? If so, I don’t know that I ever called your BBS directly, but I do know my BBS called a BBS in KC.
