NVMe to USB Adapter

So has anybody tried one of these external adapters to copy over data from an NVMe storage device ?

I picked up a unit from Amazon that states it WILL work with all NVMe devices.

I want to copy over some game data from one of my older NVMe SSD’s before I wipe it for use in another machine.

I have one i used for debootstrapping my server. Theyre slow af, but they work as advertised.

Nice to hear, the Amazon delivery should be later on tonight so I can test it out and give my feedback on the unit.

I have a ugreen m.2 nvme to usb enclosure. Worked well, I don’t recall exact numbers but I think I was achieving over 1 gigabyte per second.

Looks like other people got similar results:

I just received my order from Amazon and I purchased the Sokiwi model, all metal enclosure with a sliding cover to install the storage device, they even give you a thermal pad/strip for sinking the heat.

It works fine but didn’t do any testing yet, the issue is the very short USB cables.

They give you both a USB A to USB C and a USB C on both ends, depending on your configuration.

I will have to look at getting longer USB C cables.

Maybe get a better one?
