NVidia Jetson Nano

This is a very interesting product it appears. It is pretty capable in GPU compute (or graphical really though it was made with AI in mind) performance for $100.

I heard they have some open source software for their Tegra SoCs with some proprietary software for specific applications (kind of like AMDGPU and AMDGPU-Pro). If that’s true I should really consider getting one.

Bro. Wouldn’t it be something if Nvidia got more involved in open source?

Like that would be awsome.

I know right. They are rather mean spirited against open source with consumer GPUs enough to turn me to a slightly lesser option (AMD) but not with this.

NVidia has to compete a lot in AI and stuff and the competition is actually fierce there meanwhile NVidia took over most of the consumer GPU space.

I just ordered one, wish I had gotten an Edison

Seems like most projects on youtube are just image recognition based.

Anyone know of some cool ideas or projects with the Nano?

Just got mine yesterday, looking forward to playing around with it.
