No video with first build

My build is as follows:

MB: Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Z77 ATX Intel Motherboard

CPU: Core i5 3570K 3.4GHz LGA 1155 Processor

GPU: ZT-50206-10M NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 1280MB GDDR5 PCIe 2.0 x16 Video Card

Memory: Ballistix Sport 8GB DDR3-1600 (PC3-12800) CL9 Dual Channel Desktop Memory Kit (Two 4GB Memory Modules)

HD: 500GB 7,200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 3.5" Internal Desktop Hard Drive - Bare Drive

PSU: BP550 Plus 550W ATX Modular Power

Case: Three Hundred Two ATX Mid Tower Gaming Computer Case

I also have a coolermaster hyper 212 evo on it.

At first when it was booting up I was getting no video but all the fans running on the inside and getting an A2 on the LED on the mobo, which means "IDE detect". I tried every way to connect the monitor. So i went through and made sure all the connections were good, including reseating the processor. Now when I try to start it up, still no video but i get a 36 or 3b error on the mobo, cant tell which one it is on the LED. 36 is "CPU post-memory initialization. System Management Mode (SMM) initialization." 3b is "Post-memory south bridge initialization is started."

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Might be the video card. Try using a different GPU if you have one laying around
