Ninja Double Stack air fryer

I kind of want a Ninja Double Stack air fryer. Not sure I need one though. I’m looking at the SL300EU 7.6 litre model. It can handle a much larger volume and can do four different things at two different temperatures/times. I really like the stacked model and I don’t mind shaking the baskets a couple of times during cooking. It’s just a bit larger than the Philips 9220 I have since before.

Philips 9220 Ninja Double Stack SL300EU
Width 28.7cm 28cm
Height 31.5cm 38.5cm
Depth 38.4cm 45.2cm
Capacity 2.2 litres 3.8+3.8 litres

Earlier this year I bought a new air fryer. The one I had was small and I think was around $30 when I got it. I had it for a few years and the biggest issue I had was the basket size. The one I got was a Ninja Air Fryer Max XL. It has a large basket and can do 450F. It has been good, but there have been times when it would be nice to do 2 things at once. I often use it to cook chicken thighs and also roast some veggies. I can live with just the one basket, but my next one will be a dual, so if you often have the need to do 2 things at once get it. Also, having the larger basket is amazing.

I like the idea of it… but seeing a banana for scale would help me know if it would even fit my counter.

It’s not as big as it looks. The heating elements are in the back so it’s a bit deeper than most other air fryer. Since it went the air on the side you need to leave some space to the right too but it’s still more narrow than most modern air fryers. It’s a bit higher, 16", but since it don’t went air from the top it’s not that important to have room above it.

This is the XL, it’s 47cm deep (18.5"), the non-XL I’m looking at is 42cm deep (16.5").

Because the heat come from the back and not from above you need to shake the basket a couple of times during cooking and the manual mention this three times. Most complains seems to be about this.

When our basket one went we replaced it with the air fryer pro. More of a convection oven with racks, but shaped like an air fryer with reflective bottom…it makes things like french fries more difficult since you have to rotate racks, but you can cook anything in them. I’ll cook an there meal for our large family entirely in it. Home homemade pizza, I pre cook the crust by itself, flip it and top it, back in for 4 minutes. Racks are all good when I am home alone and want to reheat leftovers all at once.

A single baasket style air fryer and a rack oven type is the best combo for cooking everything.

I bought the Corsini model because of the chef I watch. I do know there are reviews of air fryers. I was unaware of this model however.
