New server build to replace a Dell poweredge R610

Hi,

Also would you have any ideas for a new server these days to replace a Dell poweredge R610.

I have 4 Netapp hadd 6gbp/s enclosures with 768TB of storage, I am trying to build a mutlithreadet server to run these boxes, mostly on free nas and ZFS and do VM testing. Can you advise maybe how would you go about it.

What is the R610 missing that you would like to add? I’m upgrading from a Dell CS24-CS to the R610 currently. Aside from the lack of hard drive space, it is plenty powerful for hosting my virtual servers.

What are you using the server for?
