New Possible Gaming Rig

Actually guys im gunna go with the OEM simply because i'm never going to use the stock cooler

I hope you can get a decent pie with that 2pound.

I wanna steak and cheese pie now.

What about Grid 2? WHAT ABOUT GRID 2?

Or i could get 200 1p sweets :D lol naah now you mention it £2 isnt much really if my cooler packs in....... retail it is and thats final!!

Both come with grid 2,  I'm more interested in the munchies.

God i'm hungry and there's no bakerys open at 2am.

I could also use my old 560ti as a dedicated PhysX card..... thoughts?

yeah for sure dude.

Though I would compare the difference with it in and out.  It may not be benificial due to differences in architecture.  I couldn't say for sure.

Let us know how you get on with PhysX.

Will do guys :) it might be a while before I actually get to building it but when i do ill be posting pics of my progress on the forums!

Bogan, you should be full of OPs gratitude. No room in your tummy for pie.

Lol, I got hollow legs.

Just as a side suggestion. The MSI 770 matches your motherboard ;D

I just had a quick squizz at the XFX power supply.  It's Multi-rail, most gamers prefer single rail PSUs.

The new Nvidia cards do require high amps on the 12v rail at least 42amps which I could not get a definitive number from the XFX website.

Also Haswell cpus have their own PSU requirements for C-States.

It may be better to go with the Corsair CX 750.

Check this out.  Have a look at the different power supplies and do a price match.  This is critical.

Beast.  Matching with motherboard.

I was going to have a Corsair CX 750 but people were saying that it wasnt a very good quality PSU :/

dude i have that very power supply, i Just recieved it today, it's single rail.

I quote "Easy Rail tm- one rail, one set up"

anyway i would get the XFX pro series over the corsair CX series anyday, corsair are a good brand just the CX series ain't that great.
