New headset better then logitech g35

as the title says, anyone know of a decent headset that has somewhat the same features as the logitech g35 but better quality?

ive had a few of the g35 headsets but they are so cheap in design as the speakers are held by cheap plastic and break very easly. i however do like the buttons on the headset which is one of the main reason i bought them.

any tips/advice is very well appreciated.

anyone?:D

I'm in the same boat, I'm thinking about getting the Corsair Vengeance 1500v2  as a comparable one to the G35 in sound quality and features only they use larger, sturdier speakers (suposedly...) than the G35

maybe Audio Technica BPHS1-XF-4?

BeyerDynamic Custom One Pro but finding a good one with buttons or pull up mute is the same as searching for unicorns.

Soundwise probably anything else is better than G35, I used to own one and sound quality was rubbish.

Just ordered the Corsair Vengeance 1500V2 for 99bux on NewEgg....should be here by next week I think, I'll let you know what I think (although I could swear these guys did a review on it some time ago)...or maybe it was the 2100 (same thing just the wireless version)

will be waiting patienctly for that:)

as some said.. its very hard to find headset with same features unfortunatly. wish logitech brought better quality for their headsets or a complete new version with all the bells and whisels.

Got the new headset Saturday morning and used it pretty much all day.  Played FarCry3, Borderlands2, Payday2, BF3 and 4, and I have to say it sounds really nice.  On the corsair website they have software for it so you can use it's control panel to switch EQ presets (FPS Gaming, Movies, etc) which I found very very useful as I hate messing around with the EQ myself..

Compared to the G35 (which I have used for a couple of weeks before this one) I think the overall sound for games is about the same with some exceptions.  Both great except the G35 had issues with certain games (Farcry3 it would make really bad static/crackley sounds as well as some other games) I looked it up on the net and tons of people have the same problem with no real solution as of yet.   No such issue with the 1500. Also the bass BOOMS on the 1500, much deeper/richer, explosions and heavy weapons rock with this headset much better than the G35.  The other issue I had with the G35 is that I spent a lot of time messing around with the volume and windows sound environment as it would come in so low.  No problem with the 1500, on the contrary it's crisp and loud right out of the box.

I also found the 1500 to sound better for Youtube/Netflix/DVD's/Music because of the software you can get and it's presets.  Im sure I could've adjusted the G35 EQ too but they didn't have any presets like the 1500.  Also the 1500 is way more comfortable (I think).  Does not however have the cool volume adjustment on the ear cup that the G35 has or the G keys (which I never used anyway)

Got it for: $99 at Newegg

Hope it helps.  Also Logan reviewed it awhile back if you want to check that out: Corsair 1500v2

I recently got a pair of Mionix Nash 20 and they are fantastic, the most comfortable headset I have ever owned. I had a pair of Corsair 1300 (I go analog 'cause soundcard) and they were good, but were kinda uncomfortable after about a half hour. It has volume control and microphone mute control, however I do think it is 3.5mm only, no usb.

so i finally bought the Corsair Vengeance 1500V2  headset.

it has good sound and is very comfortable.

however i have 1 issue with it, when the mic is active (Skype, ventrilo, etc)  it gives a buzzing sound.

not very loud but enough to be annoying and give a headache to me and the person listening to me talk.

anyone know any fix? ive tried old drivers/new drivers didnt help, changed the USB ports and nothing.

any help would be great.

edit: they are also VERY LOUD. no idea how to change that, Always have them on 4-7 volume.

Wondering if you have a defective set...I use the mic with Steam and Skype all the time and have no buzzing sound.  Mine defaulted loud too but I just made sure they are the right level in the windows sound environment and I was good to go.  Also do you have that cool software from Corsair?  The one that has all the presets and lets you configure the mic from there too?
