so, i want to upgrde my graphics card basically because i found a friend of mine that wants to buy mine used and I had a few bucks laying around these are my specs :

CPU: AMD FX 8350

RAM: Crucial ballistix 1600mhz 8gb

GPU: MSI radeon HD 7790 

PSU: CORSAIR ENTHOUSIAST SERIES TX650 80+ BRONZE CERTIFIED

CPU COOLER: CORSAIR HYDRO SERIES H55 

HD'S: SAMSUNG SSD 120 GB + SEAGATE 1TB HDD

MOTHERBOARD: ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0

I play a few games but mostly I would like something stable powerful, good quality and will last for a long time

I was thinking about an asus geforce gtx 760 direct cu ii oc 

 I can go up to about 250 $

go with the 270, when overclocked it is almost exactly the same as the 270x, look at the linus tec tips video on it.

If you are mainly focused on gaming, and have no plans for open cl, then you will get better performance for the money from a GTX760  (overclocks to around 1.3GHz from the stock 980MHz )

though the r9 270 is $50 cheaper, and will still run modern games relly well
