Today AMD announced a new Embedded Series APU’s? ( I guess it has a GPU and a CPU are they called APU’s ? are mobile chips APU’s ? )
Mobile users will hate me but I am lazy to copy/paste this info.
PS - This post is now a wiki so everyone who wants to redact it and make it a bit more bearable for mobile users is free to do so.

Should be pretty nice in a ultrabook.

Yeah, but I am pretty sure we wont see them in those applications. Pretty sure it’s more business oriented product.

Yea - it’s a industrial product for specific usecases, but would have been nice in a ultrabook.
The onboard vp9 + h265 decoders could make a nice HTPC.

Dual 10g Ethernet NICs. That would make a nice Networking/NAS chip (which I see is a usecase for it)

IBase announced some products based on it.
These things usually aren’t cost effective without buying a bunch of them, but I’d have fun playing with one as a pfSense box.
