Network "no ethernet cable plugged in" issue

So I bought a switch for down stairs and all the devices that are plugged into the switch including our wifi router and my PC.
Every device works except my PC. It just doesnt detect my ethernet cable. Tried the same cable on my laptop, same issue.
Plugged the ethernet cable into the modem and it works but i disconnect from it every 5 to 10 minutes with the same error, no ethernet cable detected.

I tried a couple of cmd commands like renew ip etc. but nothing seems to work. And my drivers are up to date :/

check your cable, especially plugs... it might be damaged.

Ya good indication your cable is bad. That or there's an iffy router/hub/switch in the midst.

broken cable. had that issue settings up a pfsense box.

yeah what i though as wel but its weird it was fine when i plugged it into the router. Never had issues. Sadly i moved the router so i cannot reach it with the current "broken" cable.
