Hello i was thinking about buying the Netgear prosafe GS108E i was wondering if i can set it to prioritize a port over the other ones. Thanks.
You could set up some QOS but are you saturating the switch?
im not worried about saturating the switch. its my connection to my router that i will saturate before and i want to set the switch to prioritize my tower over the other computers ill have connected to it.
Just set up QOS at the router level then, no reason to add more complexity to the switch.
I have to use a Ethernet over power line and i cant get my max speed to my router.
That switch does support QOS, not sure how they have it configured/ what options are allowed on it. Do some research on the QOS setting on that switch.

I have this exact switch and it has a couple of different QoS modes:
Rate Limit Filtering
Port Priority
Broadcast Storm Filtering

I have the 8 port version but they are exactly the same apart from the port count so it should be fine.
