OKay guys got every thing working running prim95 24hr test and its working good between you guys and google I got every thing I needed, oh and I broke my leg yester day so I have all the time in the world hahaha
HAHA, I know how you feel! Friday I had made sure that all I was going to do all night was overclock and benchmark. All of a sudden my appendix started acting up and became extremely painful, quite nearly burst! Spent all night and all day saturday in the hospital after they removed my appendix during an emergency operation. Now I have all week off from work to get my computer running the way I want it! hahaha kinda awesome not going to lie!
Very true but the pain is some times not worth it, also When I'm watching the test some time all 8 cores drop from 4.1ghz to like 1.8 ghz why is that?
I actually poset a new topic that is directly under this one in the overclocking thread. In CPU-Z my cpu has not shown up as more than 1.4GHz w/ x7 multiplier. In my BIOS it shows 5000MHz w. x25 multiplier and in the system properties it shows up at 5.02 Ghz. I have cool n quiet disabled to ensure the BIOS doesn't just take over. I don't know why mine hasn't ever shown up in CPU-Z so *scratches head*
Your CPU or MOBO could be heating up and is counter acting that to ensure nothing is damaged.
Cool n Quiet is disabled I thinks its thermal throttling that was causing it testing it now
