Need help with switchable amd graphics

Long story short, the dedicated gpu (RX460M) doesn’t seem to work. (~20frames borderlands3 lowest settings 1280x720)

Tried DDU clean install.

Contacted AMD + Asus support. Where they were pretty much useless.

To be more specific, the laptop model is FX550IU. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this issue?

Have you attempted to disable the onboard graphics and force everything through the 460M?

I’ve tried, but it doesn’t seem possible. No matter what I do, the on-board stays active.

Have you tried setting power mode to performance

Yup. It’s always connected to the power as well.

Have you looked at this thread

Yes. That’s not the problem I’m experiencing. The card is recognized… but performance is terrible.
To make it clear, I can install the drivers with no issues, but performance is no where near what it should be.
I mean, I’m lagging in game dev tycoon.

There is suppose to be a switchable graphics menu in your control center. I’ve also found this and am not sure how well it will work.

Another one is see if you can force it to your 460 in the windows graphics settings

The second image I linked is how you set the switchable graphics option. There is no way through the amd settings to force the machine to only use 1 gfx card. You have to set everything to “high-performance”.

While windows says it’s using the rx460 in games… I don’t think that’s actually true.
For an example, this is the borderlands 3 benchmark… says gfx card is the integrated one.
