im a total noob at building pcs, this will be my first time. because this is m y first time, i am asking if anyone has a good build for what im looking for.
i have a gtx 770, so no need of a gpu
my budget is around $500-$650 USD
i will be using this mainly for gaming, and i wont be rendering or uploading on this
since im such a nub, im not planning on OC the cpu

With that sort of budget I would be looking at an FX-6300 six core, 8GB of 1866Mhz memory and a reasonably good motherboard/CPU cooler to match for an overclock.
If you want an exact part list let me know but that should steer you in the correct direction.
EDIT: I am from AU so my pricing is different, being USD you could almost get an FX-8320, use the stock cooler, get a good motherboard, 8GB of 1866Mhz and a solid state + cheap 1 or 2TB storage for that money.

factor in the 770 and its a solid build. Maybe even add an ssd, and or a better cooler (be quiet! dark rock pro 3, or a corsair h100i)
case is good but its more personal preference, a fractal design define r4 or whatever you like.
could go the intel route?

FX8320 - Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0 are a very good combination. The stock cooler will work fine in a case with good air flow if you are not gonna oc. I have an [email protected] and a Asus Crosshair Formula board and love it.
