Hi, I have never used a kvm before and I am not sure exactly how it works/which kvm best suits my needs. here is my situation:
I have a work laptop and a gaming pc, I use usb for my keyboard, mouse, and my headphones, I have 2 monitors, both have at least 1 DP and 1 hdmi connection, and I would prefer to use displayport on both.
I would like a kvm where i could click a couple buttons on my keyboard at the same time and switch all peripherals and monitors to the other computer
the 2 computer 2 monitor displayport kvm from the level 1 store looks like it would work
do i need anything else?
What is the laptop / what display connections does it have?
Sorry for the late reply Amber I did not realize anyone had replied.
my situation has changed a little bit as I was able to snag a 5090 so if it isnt a big deal this is my update:
Ideally id like a kvm that can do dp2.1b or hdmi2.1b, I would prefer hdmi 2.1b, but im not too picky. I now have 3 monitors, which all have at least 1 dp and 1 hdmi input.
the laptop has an hdmi port i doubt it is more recent than hdmi1.4 but i am not sure, and I think in theory I could also use the sub-c port on it.
