I dual boot windows 8.1 with Kubuntu 13.10. I want to run a 64 bit virtual machine on Windows 8.1, but I can't without enabling hardware virtualization. Looking online, I found that I need to boot into the BIOS to change the settings, but pressing esc, F11, F12, Delete, Control-Alt-Delete, or the VIAO assist button do nothing to let me boot into the BIOS. I then thought my computer must be a UEFI machine, so I restarted with advanced settings, but the option to boot into the UEFI was not there. How do I do it? How do I atleast find out if my machine is BIOS or UEFI (the microsoft site hints to UEFI, but then why don't I get the option to boot there?).
