Need advice on buying motherboard (Intel 4690k + 1 GPU)

Hi guys I need some advice on buying a new motherboard. I'll be using a 4690k and an R9 270x

I was looking at the MSI Gaming 7 which seems nice but I don't need the support for multi GPU. What is the best (preferably MSI or ASUS) motherboard for the job. Looking it to be high endish.

If you don't mind not having the best of the best, you can just get a z87 board.

I'm running my i7 4790k on an Asus Maximus VI gene motherboard that I bought for $84. lol

What form factor are you shopping for anyway?

Is it a gaming build? If yes, better spare a bit on the CPU and mobo, and go for a better GPU instead.

What's your mobo budget? I have a ASUS Maximus RoG VI Formula (Z87) that I need to get sale. :D

Msi Gaming 7 is basicly a nice board,
But the Gaming 5 is a bit cheaper, it has a bit less connectivity to offer, but other then that its a good value for money for just $125,-

My most favorite Z97 board is the Asus Maximus VII Hero, but yeah its not cheap.

I would say if you go with an ASUS board you will be golden.. i dont tend to lean towards MSI because they still have that analog PWM deal going on to my knowledge but I would say there gaming boards are actually decent.. ASrock Fatalyty if you want to go that route :D
