Yes, I know the cables are a mess. I have had the system torn apart and put back together a couple of dozen times because I was testing how to get the best performance out of the M.2 and all of the SSD's. The SSD's are stuck behind the mother board tray. The 3 hard drives in the respective bays are the 3tb WD blues.
Well, I do keep full back ups of everything that is really important. As a matter of fact all of the stuff that is under the linux system is stored in 3 different places. So I don't worry about the raid dying.
