  • Motherboard: BIOSTAR TA75M FM1 AMD A75 FM1
  • RAM: Patriot Gamer 2 Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

970 motherboard

Can you maybe give me a link on Amazon/ newegg? And why would this motherboard be better?

That processor does not fit in that motherboard.  Hence the new motherboard suggestion.

MSI 990XA-GD55 looks good for the money.

Thank you very much jeffrly! I really appreciate the feedback!

What would you recommend for a motherboard that is around $70 that is compatible with my CPU?

For $70 I guess I'd go with ASRock 970 EXTREME3.

Thank you very much. That will most definetly be a motherboard I will look into. :D

You dont really have a choice. Change the chipset, or new mother board.I reccomend the FX-4300 Vishera. Quite a good cpu for $130 not much more than the Phenom.      http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113287
