Hi everyone, first post here, so be gentle!
Right of the bat i want everybody to know that i'm from sweden so pricing is diffrent (read: higher) and i can't use pcpartspicker.
The machine will be for gaming and school. Programming and web, so photoshop, visual studio and dreamweaver are programs i will be using. For gaming i only intend to be doing 1080 at 60 fps if possible, not neccesariry maxed out. but as far as my budget will take me. Examples of game i will be playing are Battlefield 4, Arma 3 Dishonored and Titanfall.
Outside of gaming i'll use two monitors, but i don't think that will be a problem.
I also want support for SLI and optical audio, as a have a pair of x41s that i would like to use.
Excuse the swedish, hope you understand what parts i've picked.

as you're picky with gaming (I know nothing about optical audio, btw...), I would suggest a ASUS ROG mother board Z87.
If playing online is your priority, more than 4 cores can be useful (there's a benchmark video here about online gaming)
Otherwise,Photoshop just needs a lot of ram, specially if not using the 3D features.
DW is still 32 bits, so not a big deal.
=> AMD FX 8350 + ASUS AM3+ Rog Formula or ASUS sabertooth 990FX rev 2 Gen. 3 + 2 or 4 X 4/8Go DDR3 dual channel 1833 + GTX 770 4Gb or AMD 7950 + PSU 900/1K Watts (Sli-CrossFire) + Kingston HyperX 3K SSD 240Go or OCZ Vector 256Go
=> Intel I7 4770K + ASUS Z87-pro or ASUS Maximus Z87 + 4 or 2 X 8Go DDR3 dual channel 2133 + GTX 780 or AMD 7950 + 500=< PSU =< 800Watts (Sli-CrossFire not useful for DCC) + Kingston HyperX 3K SSD 240Go or OCZ Vector 256Go
Personally, I don't use SSDs. I prefer to have my system on a WD velociraptor (more space for the buck)
For the case, I'm a big fan of Cooler Master CM Elite 43x : nuff space for large GPUs and closed loop watercooling (corsair Hxx) and quite cheap. CM Force 500 has interesting cable management features, no window but even cheaper than the CM Elite. Fractal Design R4 windowed is interesting too but more $ needed. Really, it's just a matter of personal test. Mostly I'm looking for space and more than 5 X 3"5 slots. And I like sober design. I suggest you look for yourself , and mind for USB3.0 on the front panel.
Cooling = Corsair H80i would fit for both CPU mentioned. Some air cooling can do the job too.
Storage HDD = WD caviar blue 7200
Your whole thing looks great. The samsung basic SSD's are actually very slow, if you want a faster one, get a Samsung pro, or save a whole lot and go for a SanDisk extreme (same reliability).
You don't need water cooling so don't worry about that. Air cooling can still overclock, and it doesn't cost a whole lot either.
Maybe spend a little more money and get 16GBs of Memory. It will aid you in photoshop and whatever other programs you're using.
The Define R4 is a great case, definitely a good idea to go with that for silence and performance.
Marie-Frances FX-8350 build looks good.
