MXM to pcie?

is there anyway to convert mxm or mobile pcie express module to full pcie. what i want to do is run an external gpu on my laptop like this since mini pcie will be too much of a bottleneck and i want to instead use mxm but have no idea how.

You can buy one of these http://www.zentrica.com/product/mxm-3-0-to-pci-express-carrier-board-type-1/

Well one that is really expensive, and two how would I use it And configure it to use a an external gpu with my laptop?

oh. you wanted to use a full gpu on a laptop.

I got confused there, sorry. I thought you wanted to use your laptop's gpu on a desktop.

Anyways, you'll need a GPU enclosure, which is crazy expensive BTW, and a thunderbolt capable laptop. If your laptop does not have thunderbolt, I'm afraid things won't work. You can read about external GPU enclosures here: http://www.zdnet.com/article/alienware-graphics-amplifier-lets-you-add-desktop-graphics-card-to-gaming-laptops/ it's alienware, but I also found an MSI version. If you have the budget, and seriously want to play games on your lappy, this is the way to go.

Cool video by a guy called Diy Perks has done a video about this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bP_8EYQ-2RA its surprisingly easy to do and you can get a nice performance upgrade if your willing to lug a GPU and PSU around with your laptop

well i cant i use a desktop gpu on my laptop using a mxm to pcie converter, i mean they have mini pcie to pcie converters but thats too slow so why isnt it possible to go from mxm to pcie and use a desktop gpu on my laptop.
