MSI R9 390 overclocking - did I do it right?

Well, mine was doing that:

But now it's doing this:

Does it do fine on stock speeds?

Eyy, too much memory overclock there.
Memory overclocking tends to give off heavy artifact if pushed too far.

@MisteryAngel @thelonewanderer

You can see in the top right of the second screenshot, it's running at stock anyway.

lol i guess im blind.
maybe there is a bug with the open CL test in that program?

Well, it's defo not hardware considering @cooperman has the same thing.

did you try cinebench open GL test allready?
i know its something diffrent but still.

Luxmark is also a render test based on open CL.

Or the entire Phoronix test suite? Plenty of GL in there.

I haven't tried any other OpenGL/CL benchmarks besides Valley and heaven, will try cinebench/luzmark/phoronix now.

Ye, OpenGL in cinebench does fine.

I have the PowerColor 390 but I haven't pushed my OC past 1040/1550 (im scared lol). When you unlocked voltage control did you also force constant voltage?

Force constant voltage isn't needed, you want to avoid it as you don't want it to run at a high voltage constantly.
Go ahead and overclock it, you wont damage it unless you're running some crazy voltage, but MSI afterburner and other programs limit you to + 0.1volts over stock.

Try 1150mhz at 1.3volts :)
