So I took it to my local Verizon store a couple months ago and the man at the desk called tech support to troubleshoot the phone. After 30 minutes of him trying and retrying things at the directions of the voice over the phone, they finally let me go, saying they would test the network in my area and get back to me. Apparently they said they have never seen this problem before, and the only cause of similar symptoms have occurred when the phone was rooted, which I didn't do. So they texted me letting me know it wasn't the network and they want me to take it in one last time for troubleshooting AGAIN before sending me another phone. I though it was interesting that they haven't seen this exact problem before. And I'm glad they won't refuse me a replacement on suspicion of me rooting the phone. Possible update when I take it in again tomorrow.
