Hey, so i guess I'll be a little unconventional and just explain in the actual audio test. It's really not sounding very good though and I was wondering if anyone had any insights.

Hey, dude. Owner of a modmic 4 here.
Its not the mic, your audio source is crap. That's the issue. That fuzz you hear is from terrible SNR and from bad component quality. Get yourself a cheap $30-$50 Asus soundcard or some external usb soundcard and you'll hear a dramatic difference.
Yeah that's what I was afraid of. Kind of hoping I could avoid having to get a usb sound card. :/ Thanks though!
