So during amazon prime day, I noticed many mini-pcs were on sale.
But they were older units. I double-checked and realized I could order a minisforum um790 pro from minisforum directly
Since then, I’ve seen more posting about the unit. While l knew the igpu was pretty good, it would not be as good as a dedicated GPU.
I was wondering if it would help replace my main desktop PC , drive 4 monitors and reduce idle power consumption as for my main remote job I’m just working reviewing documents all day.
But after reading some news, this does seem like bleeding edge tech. Any thoughts for those that got their systems working? Windows 11 is planned for the install…
I also ordered barebones, have some NVME drives also purchased on prime day for storage, and Kingston fury impact 32 gb 5600 mt DDR 1.1 volt memory (which I hope will work…)
Any thoughts on how it would compare to a Amd 5900x with 32 gb 3600 mt ram and a nvidia 3080ti?, asus x570 strix mobo. Its my baby…but I am being tempted by a smaller PC.
