Minisforum UM750L bricked during firmware upgrade

Hi all,
I was trying to upgrade the firmware of a new UM750L I bought as a docker home server. Unfortunately I managed to flash it with UM760 firmware and now seem to be stuck
I found a reset switch on the machine which I have tried pressing for 3 seconds and for 10 sec both while power was on and while it was off, and then adding power while pressing the reset.
I am not getting any image on USB-C or on HDMI.
Anyone have any experience with this?

I will try to post a more exact list of things I tried and especially if I find something that works

Wrong firmware bricks UM750L reset is CMOS only.Get exact UM750L BIOS from minisforum com/support FAT32 USB unzip to root.Power off insert USB, hold reset + power on. Wait 2-3 min spam F7/Del.
If no POST need CH341A programmer or RMA. Contact support with serial

Many thanks for the answer. Very helpful.
I unfortunately can’t find the BIOS for the UM750L but will contact Minisforum support to see if they can help.
But your answer helped me understand the process so thanks for that

I received a link from minisforum support. The link was to the following file
F7BSL%3DUM690L+Slim+750L+Slim+773L+Slim/Bios/6900HX_7535HX.zip

I advice people to ask support directly to ensure a safe link of course but this name may already help someone.

I unzipped and placed all the files into root of a newly formated USB drive.
Removed power. Plugged in USB key in front. Also plugged in HDMI and keyboard.
Plugged in power. Started while pressing RESET with a needle, pressed for about 12sec
It has been running for > 10min but no screen. Also no reboot.
Tried again and pressed reset for longer. Same as above. After about 5min a reboot and then endless cycles of reboots.
Tried turning off and removing the USB and trying again.

Tried again with USB on the back. Pressed reset for about 15sec and let got. after about 30sec a reboot. → endless reboot cycle now

Tried copying the directory inside the zip into USB root .\F7BSL_RMB1.01_250402A
Tried again with same effect.

I’ve ordered a CH341A now and will try my luck with that

It’s still not showing anything on screen but I seem to now be able to reproduce the startup, reboot states.

Power removed.
Power plugged in together with USB in front or back makes no difference.
Start while pressing RESET in for approx 13sec
Then let go.
About 1min after start the PC reboots. It starts again and reboots again after about 1min. This repeats several times, I think 3-4.
Then it stays on - nothing on screen though.
I power off, and remove the USB
Start up again without pressing reset. Power stays on without reboots but still no screen.
So no luck but it looks like something is happing in there

Anyone having issues getting the wifi to work in linux ?

its in the lspci output… but its not in the output of ip link

It will cost you the price of shipping, but Minisforum has been good about warranty and support for me when I had a bricked minipc

I contacted them through amazon and they basically said “sorry cant/wont help you”

Really? Email them directly or find ‘Eve’ something on reddit and they will hook you up. They want to be the ‘leader’ of the cheap Chinese PCs and are really trying to increase their support profile.
