So i am going to build my own pc for the first time.
I have a friend that knows alot about it so i'm not totally alone about it.

I really like how the case is so i don't think i will be changing that. But really just hit me with any suggestions you might have! :)
These are the parts we have picked so far. I would just like to hear you guys opinion about the build.
I'm buying this build because i want to run software like photoshop, sfm, 3ds max and so on more smoothly. But i also want to play some games here and there.
So what do you think? Will it work? x)
Also, with the h100i cooler i think i should be able to overclock my processor a bit.
Do any of you guys know a good tutorial about bios setup and overclocking stuff? That's really the area of computer building i'm most insecure about.
I would love to be sure that these parts will run together and work before i buy them :3
The only things I would potentially do would be drop down to an i5 4670K and move up to a GTX 770 or R9 280X or whatever. Or even switch to a Xeon E3 12xxV3 CPU to have the power of the i7 but still potentially afford the GTX 770/R9 280X or whatever. That's only if you don't plan to overclock the CPU though.
I am in full agreement with what wiemerimer said... that is all.
how would changing the build to a i5 4670k and gtx 770 change the performance? My main goal is to use this for productivity like animating not so much for gaming. :)
But it does sound like a reasonable thing to do.
Would the 760 be a bottleneck?
You'd probably see a slight boost in CUDA accelerated programs (like Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and parts of 3ds) by switching to the GTX 770 (and games of course), but you'd lose a little in some non-CUDA accelerated programs by switching to the i5.
As I said in my initial post, a Xeon E3 1230V3 might be a viable option if you don't plan to overclock. It has hyperthreading and everything so it's like 93% of the performance of the i7 4770K, but it's priced very close to the i5 4670K. With that cost saving you could go for a GTX 770 if you desired. Overall you'd lose maybe 7% speed on the CPU, but you'd gain like 20% on the GPU.
Agree wiemerimer - grab a xeon & gtx770. Then there will be no need for h100i, plus put some decent money into a high capacity ssd etc + a really nice IPS monitor.
i think 240 gb is enough capacity for my needs, and i already have a monitor. :)
but yea, I'm gonna go with the xeon and 770 then. But i'm still gonna keep the h100i to keep it nice and cool anyway.
