I was wondering what I should get to upgrade my computer,
I've seen a few of Logan's mini itx case videos and I think that, that is the way I want to go
Personally I think that the really small cases are really practical and I just love the little handle on the Lian Li 200b I think is the name. I have also taken a liking to the hadron air case: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/evga-hadron-air-mini-itx-case-black-with-side-window-500w-80plus-gold-psu-usb-30-slot-optical
I'm wondering if there are any other Mini itx cases that would look as nice as those cases.
My current computer setup is:
i3 2120
Asus P8B75-V motherboard
A GT 640 msi
8GB of DDR3 1333mhz RAM
60GB SSD from Kingston
2, 250GB HDD
600 watt power supply (not sure of the name but I know that it isn't 80 plus certified to my knowledge)
A case from sixth element aero cool, I dislike the case because the hinges on the door of it has broken off and so have a few of the feet on the bottom.
I would like to do video editing on the machine and some gaming. Logan said that if you go mini itx it would be best to go Haswell or FM2, I think I'd go Haswell for the fact that I'm going to do video editing.
I would like your more informed, better opinion on a motherboard. Asus seems to be a good brand, I would like something though with good audio. I was considering a sound card however with a mini ITX motherboard you cannot have a sound and graphics card but something that would sound good will be appreciated.
The hadron air seems like a good choice because it has a decent PSU implemented into the case (it is 80plus gold certified I think) and is the form factor that I would like.
If you think that maybe I should stick with my current motherboard or any aspect of my setup because it will be more cost effective, then please do say.
I've been considering long about a graphics card due to CUDA cores in nVidia cards. I'm not sure how beneficial they'll be as I haven't really used them that much. Would it be better to go with an AMD card and use the OpenGL in those cards if I use Adobe Premiere Pro?
I'm trying not to get the most expensive build but one that is a good price/performance ratio.
I'm in the UK if that will affect any parts. It would be nice to calculate the cost of an OS as well.
Thank you so much for your time and opinions on the matter.
