Metro: Last Light Frame Rate Problems

I recently bought Metro Last Light and I haven't been able to actually play through it because It is running at around 15 fps. At first I thought that it could just be that I needed to lower the settings because I was originally running the game on the highest settings but, when I lowered the settings to high, medium, and low, the game would sti only run at 15 fps. Is there any way to fix this and is it possible that the gpu drivers are at fault.

PC Specs: (Everything at stock)

  • CPU: AMD FX 8320
  • GPU: SAPPHIRE 100352-3L Radeon HD 7950
  • CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i
  • MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3P
  • PSU: Corsair HX 750
  • RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X 8gb (2x4gb) 2400mhz running at 1600mhz
  • SSD: Kingston SSDNow V300 Series SV300S37A/120G 2.5" 120GB
  • HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm 2tb
  • Case: Fractal Design Arc Midi Arc 2

Do you have the latest drivers? I know it had problems at launch with fps but that was solved not long after by a driver update.  I assume pyshx is off?

Now I just feel dumb. I hadn't turned off PhysX so that's why it was running so poorly. Thanks you
