What you guys think about metal guitar players that shred and do all sort of crazy things and fast playing on guitar? More often than not I see people being snob about it, saying all sort of crap about them and even hating on them. I really don't get why all of this happens. I really like that style of metal and I dislike some other kinds of metal but without giving a crap about it or addressing who listen to it as an idiot or even worse.
For me it is the same as that incomprehensible growling/screaming/guteral noise making in general. It is cool that they can do it and it takes skill but after the first 30 seconds it all sounds the same as it is either undecipherable in the case of voice or so fast that all the notes pile up on each other for shreading. It all blurs into one big noise.
Like I said nice they can do it but boring very quickly.
The hate comes from when someone points out it is boring and then it just keps going and bordom quickly turns to irritation. It still keeps going irritation turn to hate.

That shit is annoying. I will openly tell people to turn that shit off. I personally don't attack others for enjoying that crap but I can see where others would want to. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy various forms of metal but quality comes first. "Bang bang duna duna ooooaaaa!" Can be performed by a toddler with pots, spoons, and a dirty diaper.
Why do people attack others for liking shit music? Idk... as long as you aren't blasting that shit in my face idc what you listen too. I also prefer lyrics that I can easily understand.
