[memtest86+] Curious about CPU and Memory specs showing

Hi There!

Just a quick question: Last Night I was testing my newly build computer with memtest86+. After 9 Passes I got 0 Errors, so it seems everything is fine. But the CPU und Memory Specs showing suprised me:

My memory is correctly detected as 64 GB DDR5-6000 (EXPO enabled), but the bandwidth is only showing 8.32 GB/s. Computerbase (german magazin) said that DDR5-6000 should reach up to 48 GB/s and every screenshot of memtest I’ve seen on the internet with similar specs are reading much higher bandwidth.

Also the CPU specs are strange to me. I have an 7950x3D and the official specs from AMD are L1 Cache: 1MB, L2 Cache: 16 MB, L3 Cache: 128 MB. But memtest86 says the specs are L1: 32KB, L2: 1MB, L3: 192MB.

It is highly possible that the confusion is just created behind the keyboard (I don’t know things well enough) and the software is all right. So please enlighten me!

My specs are:
CPU: Ryzen 7950x3D
MB: Asrock B650E Taichi Lite
RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 DDR5-6000 BK C30 DC - 64GB (2 x 32)
GPU: Sapphire Radeon RX 7900 XT Pulse

Thanks!

Find and use the same tool Computerbase uses to measure RAM speeds.

There are a gazillion ways to access memory and the performance will differ.
